The Packaging Graphics Coordinator is responsible for driving the start to end process for creating production ready packaging graphics files for a variety of product packaging components including corrugate, poly bags and films, cartons, or labels. The Packaging Graphics Coordinator is a subject matter expert on detailed packaging graphics specifications and brand guidelines with knowledge of business, mill, and prepress supplier capabilities and requirements. This position balances support across multiple stakeholders in category teams, sourcing, and manufacturing operations and must have the capability to rotate attention between different assignments. Must be detail oriented, possess excellent communication skills to be able to work effectively with internal and external contacts throughout the extended supply chain organization. The Packaging Graphics Coordinator will focus approximately 50% of their time on execution of packaging projects and 50% on graphic design in illustrator.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Support new product introductions by identifying key questions and establishing a roadmap for gathering mechanical structures and graphic content input from key business functions including packaging engineering, product managers, creative services.
Create component level production graphics files aligned with existing brand specific graphics guidelines.
Evaluate requests for packaging graphics changes and offer recommendations for implementation strategy, timing, and manage execution across functions.
Solve problems and recommend alternative solutions considering supplier capabilities.
Owns the workflow in the packaging graphics database. Data entry of detailed graphics specifications including ink colors, prepress vendors, proofing of final print cards ensuring data accuracy, approvals, and clear revision control documentation.
Take action to ensure graphics files are accurate with correct spelling, translations, legal boilerplate information, new quantity statements, trademark indicators and barcodes.
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Communications, Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication
3 years of experience in graphic design or print production
Experience using Adobe Illustrator
