You, as the Supply Chain Team Lead Warehouse will lead and provide direction to supervisors and warehouse operators, and oversee all day-to-day warehousing activities for a country or single site operation that spans across Global Edible Oil Solutions (GEOS). You will be strategically involved in improvement actions related to the warehouse operations and lead and decide on all major warehousing activities for a medium-small team across a small subset of the organization with a short term outlook. These activities include: warehouse management, process development, planning & execution, business partnership, systems / data management & reporting and people, talent & budget management.
Major Tasks:
Accountable for direct performance management, talent development, succession planning and engagement of the warehouse supervisors & employees. Participate in selection of direct reports and resource planning.
Input for the Annual Operating Plan & budgeting towards management. Define key result areas (KPI) for the Warehouse team and responsible for KPI results.
Provide coaching and/or training to team, including coaching Cargill core values, personal safety, environmental stewardship and community involvement.
Responsible to operate according (company, safety, environmentally, food safety) requirements.
Manage inventory and stock locations in the warehouse.
Effective and efficient warehouse management: ergonomics, safety, process speed, error prevention, housekeeping.
Solve issues: Safety issues, Automatic Warehouse, SAP, Personnel planning.
Close contact with: Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Maintenance, Production, Customer service, Transportation& Logistics, Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling, Plant-IT.
Manage external storage in the event this is required from an occupancy rate perspective or business need.
Use a broad understanding of supply chain practices and procedures, implement and coordinate processes, and ensure best practices are shared.
Organize and assess process to ensure all customer & internal requirements are identified, communicated and documented. Maintain relationships with plant operations to ensure adequate inventory is available, and customer requirements are within operational capabilities.
Provide general guidance to the development of the delivery process to meet customer demand, and work with team to execute delivery process.
Actively initiate continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse
Problem solving, take initiatives and ownership in order to improve, optimize all processes
Review supply and demand calculations for a medium-small team and evaluate moderately complex analyses of the data.
Responsible for reporting the execution of warehouse processes to stakeholders (e.g. planning, inventory, performance, budget etc.)
Monitor and track score card and related KPIs within a medium-small team. Ensure team is establishing and maintaining key warehouse metrics.
Bachelor’s Degree
3-5 years’ experience in warehouse/logistics management.
People manager and team player.
