Onsite Test engineer - Jutland
Description:
Thales has been involved in Danish projects since 1991 and has a formal country office in Denmark since January 2015. Today, Thales in Denmark employs approx. 120 people and functions as a hub for eight countries in Northern Europe.

In 2012, Banedanmark, the Danish rail infrastructure, awarded a consortium composed of Thales and Strukton Rail with a contract to upgrade the signalling system in Jutland, the Western part of Denmark. This latter consists of approx. 1.200 km of the Danish railway network (60") to the new European ETCS level 2 system. Since then, Thales in Denmark has been working on the design and building of the system in close cooperation with Strukton Rail and Thales peers in Germany. Internally, the project is called the ‘F-Bane project’ and is currently in the deployment phase where the first line is installed and under test, scheduled to be in operation under 2018.

We are currently looking for 1 Test Engineer to join the test team in Thales Denmark A/S. Base location for the position will be Fredericia (Jutland).
Reporting to the Test and Commissioning Manager, and as part of a team of Test Engineers, the Test Engineer will be responsible for performing the tasks needed in relation to:
Factory test of assembled technical buildings
On site test of installed track side equipment axel counters, point machines, level crossings among other elements including correspondence test between track side elements, interlocking and traffic control center
Participate in site acceptance test activities
Participate in commissioning activities
Test of signalling system in lab environments
These will be very important tasks in order to provide a fully functional signalling system in Jutland according to the contracts service level goals. The majority of the time will locate on site in Jutland following the installation and test phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities and tasks:
Participate in developing Thales Denmark Test team onsite procedures.
Participate in performing the Pre- FAT, Pre-test, SIT and SAT test in Jutland from Q3 2017 to end of 2022.
Take a leading role in the onsite test team in terms of planning, quality assurance of the work and performance follow up.
Participate in basic training in the total Thales ERTMS system.
Specialize in defined key areas such as RBC/Interlocking, Network/Switches, Trackside equipment, Servers etc.
Skills and experience:
Professional, consequent and responsible working attitude

PC knowledge (MS Office)
Professional proficiency in English and Danish
German is optional
Danish railway certifications such as Pas på, på banen (PPPB) or SR arbejdsleder is a merit.
