If you enjoy the challenge of researching regulatory changes and driving change to make sure the team is in compliance, the Payroll Wage Attachment Specialist role is for you!
This position is responsible for processing garnishments, performing quality assurance reviews, and managing third party payments. You will have the opportunity to showcase your written and verbal communication skills and build meaningful relationships with internal and external customers.
Our ideal candidate will have high initiative, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and enjoy working in a high volume, fast paced environment.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Administer high volume of garnishments for mid to large size payroll department which includes wage garnishments, child support orders, student loans, tax levies, and bankruptcy orders
Customer service support to internal and external customers regarding all aspects of wage attachments
Adhere to company policies and statutory regulations to ensure wage garnishments are processed within regulatory requirements.
Administrative duties as it relates to garnishment management (i.e. mail, garnishment document imaging, etc)
Case management and prioritization based on compliance requirements and payroll processing schedule.
Timely and accurate processing of third party payments
Answer garnishments accurately and timely
Quality assurance reviews prior to payroll processing
Regular review of regulatory changes, manage garnishment configuration and system testing.
Timely review and research of general ledger and unclaimed property garnishment payments
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
High school or GED
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work until 6 p.m. periodically in order to support HRSC service hours and overtime hours as needed.
Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
Proven ability to work within tight deadlines
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using SAP, Clarify and Oracle
A minimum of 1 year related payroll or HR experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Associates degree or some college course work
