Job Description
CRM Manager
London - Permanent - Full Time - 39 Hours
It’s not often you get the chance to develop a new business within a business, that’s already over 20,000 people strong. And it’s even rarer to do so at the start of one of the most exciting digital transformations in retail. At Wilko, it’s all going on. We’re growing our digital offering, our digital team, and the skills and careers of ambitious digital professionals with the passion, initiative and drive to get stuff done. Lots of stuff. Essentially, overhauling all the platforms and features needed to offer a world-class retail experience – no matter how, when or where our customers engage with us. It’s not for the faint hearted. But it is for big thinkers who want the scope and sense of adventure of a start up – with the stability and backing of a loved, established brand.
With a huge digital strategy already largely in place, it’s your chance to shape what comes next and put your name to high profile work that will be seen by millions. We’re looking for innovators, leaders, doers. A CRM Manager with original ideas on how to quadruple our online sales, and the skills to make them happen.
We’ve got a tonne of amazing products here at Wilko. But if our customers are to fall in love with them, they need to know about them. That’s where you come in as CRM Manager. Handling every aspect of our eCRM strategy, you’ll get involved in everything from running and creating the strategy for our day-to-day production, execution and reporting of email campaigns to producing and developing our behavioural and lifecycle email programmes. Email power is already bringing in £1m a year. With you on board, that figure could go through the roof, especially as you’ll lower our costs in the process – as we bring skills like yours in-house and look to change how we work with agencies.
As part of your job will be to manage an external email service provider as well as a small CRM team, you’ll need experience of working with an external agency, or a content management system. Able to use Excel and reporting software, you’ll also have managed a small team, and email or eCRM programmes for an online business – ideally in retail. Working closely with customer care, digital operations and insight teams across Wilko, this is your chance to light up inboxes everywhere – and our customers’ everyday lives.
