Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack. 8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed. Enterprise & Solution Architect – Nordics Within the Nordics Cluster, a team of Enterprise and Solution architects exists to undertake architectural design of Oracle solutions for prospective and existing customers. The same team also works on the development of ‘go to market solutions’ for the Nordic market place. These are senior roles to act as the link between Oracle sales and delivery teams in the Consulting organisation. The Solution Architect ensures solution feasibility and mitigates risk by leveraging a network of subject matter experts in the various domains. The Solution Architect is also capable of proposing customer roadmaps to realise the proposed solution. Currently a need exists for an experienced Solution Architect with a focus on Oracle Business Analytics suite of products and Big Data. SCOPE OF THE ROLE The Nordic Cluster Architect: · Reports to the Nordic Cluster Customer Solutions Leader · Takes a leadership position within Oracle and with the customer for the solution · Works on client-billable and pre-sales assignments to lead the solution development · Works with sales and delivery to ensure solutions are both sellable and deliverable We are looking for architects capable of leading compelling solution development with clients to “Inspire, Connect and Perform”. RESPONSIBILITITES Enterprise & Solution Architect · To act as a trusted advisor to senior clients in the Nordic Cluster: · To develop compelling, profitable and deliverable customer solutions with Oracle and customers · To be commercially astute when engaging and advising a client · To act as ambassadors for Oracle application solutions throughout a customer engagement · Work closely with client, sales, pre-sales and delivery staff to develop a robust architecture · Take full ownership of “best practice” of their competency area, covering the whole strategic footprint · Develop strong relationships with the product lines and in co-operation with the Delivery Management teams, advise on competency requirements · Take full accountability for the architectural solution of a pre-sales opportunity or project · Establish strong relationships with their counterparts in Oracle partners · Form and maintain strong relationships with colleagues in product development · Manage the re-use and knowledge management of their competency area · Provide sales awareness to the sales and delivery community within the Nordic Cluster · Engage profitably with their counterparts from other parts of the Western Europe region Knowledge and Competency Requirements Description/Level Requirements · Degree educated or equivalent · Fluent English and local language · Experience/Technical/ Professional knowledge · Currently Principal Consultant level or above · Strong awareness of the broad Oracle Business Analytics suite of products · A creative and agile problem-solver · Recent project life-cycle experience, preferably with Project Management experience · Ability to advise customer on their implementation approach · Commercially astute · Ability to form lasting high-level relationships both inside and outside a project assignment · Self-starting · Politically savvy in complex situations both within the client and Oracle · Excellent knowledge of Oracle architectural methods, product standards and architectural roadmaps, including EADF, OUM, AIM, CDM · Deep, proven architecture experience of their competence area · Strong awareness of building solutions involving other application competence areas · Has an existing network of contacts both in and outside Oracle with the proven ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues in sales and delivery situations · Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior management within a client · Demonstrated ability to develop successful architectures on projects with complex business requirements · Track record of success and credibility at all levels · Strong customer service client relationship skills · Ability to present an argument: persuasive · Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with strong presentation ability · Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience of Oracle Big Data Technologies (Oracle Advanced Analytics, Oracle NoSQL, Oracle Connectors for Big Data, Oracle Real-Time Decisions)
