OBSTETRICS & GYNAECOLOGY
Required from 5th April 2017for 4 months until 1st August 2017.
St. Helens & Knowsley Hospitals is a large Trust, with over 1,000 beds providing acute DGH and Regional Specialty Services. Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a major Department within the Trust. The Department, based primarily at Whiston Hospital, delivers 3,800 babies a year in well appointed labour wards, has 2 dedicated operating theatres, and has a Special Care Baby Unit of 15 cots (Level 2); in addition to a good provision of in-patient and out-patient facilities for obstetric and gynaecological services.
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed LAS ST1/ST2 doctor to join our team. This position is not a training post, the primary objective being to make a substantial impact on the service provided by the Department. There is the opportunity to develop special interests and the successful applicant will be encouraged to become involved in research, audit and teaching.
Full registration with the GMC is required.
