Ward 2D is a 23 bedded acute medical ward
You will enjoy working in a busy environment and be a true team player. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
You will demonstrate a passion for improving the patient and relative experience for those patients who have to deal with this life changing disease. You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training to enhance pre-existing knowledge and ensure research based practice. In addition to this, you will possess well developed communication skills that will be used to engage, inspire and motivate both staff and patients in this exciting and challenging clinical area. The focus for the post holder will be in the following key areas:
• Support the provision of a clean environment
• Ensuring improvements in patient outcomes and the safety, effectiveness and experience of their care
• Ensuring best practice in infection control
• Treating patients with dignity and respect
• Assist the senior nursing team in ensuring all quality improvement work is implemented and sustained.
• Ensure safe and effective discharge planning.
• Supporting the delivery of the Nursing Strategy at all times
