The Corporate Finance function outside KSA is managed through SABIC Capital, comprising 3 departments: International Financial Reporting & Controllership (“IFR&C”), International Treasury and Global Tax.
The Tax Accounting function is part of IFR&C with accountability for the tax positions in the consolidated and local statutory financial statements of the SABIC Luxembourg group
Job Purpose & Responsibilities
The Challenge
Support the global tax accounting group in ensuring that SABIC is in control of its tax accounting process resulting in adequate reporting of its tax positions in its consolidated as well as in various local statutory financial statements.
• Execute/ support the monthly, quarterly and yearend tax accounting closing process
• Coordinate/ participate in SABIC’s accounts reconciliation process relating to tax accounts
• Maintain/ provide support on Onesource Tax Provision tool
• Support the Tax Accounting and Global Tax teams with analyses of income tax positions,
effective tax rates, cash taxes and other ad-hoc analyses
• Prepare return-to-provision adjustments based on GAAP-to-STAT and STAT-to-Tax
reconciliations derived from local statutory financial statements and corporate income tax
returns.
• Support with tax disclosure notes for local statutory financial statements
• Identify and implement technology, data and process improvements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with team members in Global Tax, International Treasury, IFR&C.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Tax
• Minimum of 5 year experience in tax accounting and/or international tax (Big 4 combined with
corporate experience preferred)
• Strong working experience with SAP, Onesource Tax Provision and MS Office
• Strong communicator with effective influencing skills
• Collaborative and pro-active attitude
• Good analytical skills
