Vestas Northern Europe (NEU) is the Sales Business Unit for Scandinavia, UK, Poland and the Baltic countries – responsible for sales, project management, installation and service. Our customers’ spans from high profiled corporations within the renewable energy sector to small and medium sized private investors.
The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind turbines within the Nordic countries. The department has an open and informal culture, where team work and good communication is the key to our success. Vestas is undergoing a positive development in Norway and together with our customers we need to install more than 300 wind turbines ( 1.000 MW) over the next 4 years. We already have a service office in Trondheim and to accommodate future growth we’re also establishing a new office in Åfjord. We are therefore looking for professionals that can help and support this growth.
Responsibilities
Our new Transport coordinator will be responsible for all transport related services in Norway.
You will play an important role in delivering a service and product that meets our customer's expectations and will be working closely with both Service and Construction.
The primary tasks will be:
Ensure that the transport and customs process is working optimally in accordance with applicable guidelines.
Coordination with Norwegian custom authorities
Handling of rented items/tools and ensure they are imported and exported correctly.
Coordination of shipments between sites in Norway
Creation of commercial invoice for returns shipments to DK.
Responsible for compliance to approved SAP processes
Qualifications
On the professional level you have:
Several years of experience in transport planning, ideally gained in a Technical Services or Logistics related service environment.
Extensive knowledge in customs clearance processes
Extensive experience with MS office, especially Excel - and familiarity with databases/Access is a clear advantage
Competencies
Excellent planning and organizational skills
A systematic approach with good analytical and problem solving skills
The ability to remain calm under pressure, and to handle varying workloads
Attention to details
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
Oral and written fluency in English required, understanding of the Nordic languages is a plus
Good IT skills, SAP experience will be an advantage

Additional information
Primary workplace is Trondheim, Norway.
During the introductory period, there will be some trips for educational purposes to Denmark. Hereafter approx. 30 travel days a year.
