An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Band 6 to lead/support and develop staff in clinical procedures and the use of advancing technology within the Burns & Plastics theatres at Whiston hospital
Applicants must be registered with the NMC or HCPC and should have at least 5 years’ clinical experience at band 5. Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational and effective leaderships skills. To be self-motivated with a commitment to provide safe, quality patient care within the Peri - operative phase of the patient’s journey.
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for:
The day to day supervision, leadership and development staff ensuring the delivery of a safe, cost effective clinical care
Supporting the operational lead in promoting and implementing the principles of the 6C’s: care: courage: commitment: communication: competence: compassion as per Trust strategy and the delivery of the departmental/Trust targets.
Contributing to achieving improvement in services and key performance indicators for the surgical division
Actively participating in clinical/Infection prevention audits with the specialty with development/implementation of action plans
The post holder may be required to work across both Whiston and St Helens sites and must be flexible working weekends and having an on call commitment, with a possible rotation to night duty.
