Maintenance Planner- Warm Springs, GA

Georgia-Pacific in Warm Springs, GA manufactures Plytanium® plywood sheathing which is ideal for residential and light commercial construction and Ply Frame® Panels which is softwood & hardwood veneer used for commercial and residential construction, home remodeling, large DIY projects and upholstered furniture framing.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Work with the maintenance and production supervisors to plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance activities
Verify the availability of parts, materials, manpower and any special tools or machinery
Use the computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) for monitoring possible follow ups
Continuously and accurately build Bills of Material in the CMMS
Maintain accurate equipment list
Provide technical staff and production team members with written instructions and information to correctly perform jobs
Write quantitative preventative maintenance procedures
Assist preventative maintenance crew with writing routes and setting up triggers in SPM module of the CMMS
Perform pre and post accuracy audits for preventative maintenance and work orders
Develop small project plans, including non-bills of material and lists of required equipment/tools and resources
Improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, and coordination of labor, parts, material, tools and equipment access
Review all executed job plans for accuracy and make revisions as necessary to preventative maintenance (PMs), including determining task applicability, frequency, and priority
Remove PMs that can be replaced by a Predictive Maintenance Technology
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or higher in a technical field and a minimum of three (3) years maintenance experience, OR a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of four (4) years of maintenance experience
Willing and able to read mechanical, structural and electrical drawings
Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
Willing and able to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas
Willing and able to work any shift including overtime, holidays and weekends
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing or Machine Design
Experience in AutoCAD, and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)
Mechanical maintenance experience, including fluid handling and conveyor systems, hydraulic systems and accumulators, and valve identification and application, welding and machining
Experience working in a plywood or wood products manufacturing facility
